Its 1:05am and I’m waiting for my samosas to bake so I can eat them for sehri in two hours. I can’t think of anything better to do (That’s a complete lie. I could be praying or reading Quran or learning about the prophets right now, but I currently do not have the attention span for it) so I decided to blog while I wait.
My sister and I made a last minute trip to the mall to return a few things yesterday, and of course something awkward just had to happen. We went to the mall last week too, since there’s absolutely nothing better to do, and basically everyone we saw last time was working this time too. And of course the overly-peppy and mildly aggressive saleswoman in Bath & Body Works recognized us and called us out on it.
I mean, its one thing to politely acknowledge our return with a smile and friendly greeting, but its a whole other thing to call us out as soon as we walk in! Like, our plan was to get in and get out as fast as possible because we wanted to return the horrible-smelling plug in air freshner…thing. Anyway, as soon as we step foot in there, the lady says reallllly loudly “Oh! YOU’RE BACK SO SOON?” And then we felt really bad about returning our stuff cuz she was really nice about it.
And in other news, can we be real for a second? I’m probably going to spend most of this month sleeping. AND DONT JUDGE ME FOR IT BECAUSE WE ALL DO IT AND IF YOU SAY YOU DONT THEN YOURE A LIAR AND LYING IS HARAM SO SHAME ON YOU!
Moral of the story: You know you go shopping too often when then salesperson starts to think you’re their friend.
