I’m obsessing over way too many things right now.
I can’t help it. Its too funny, too relatable, and the animation is just too fricken beautiful! When I saw the trailer for the first time I honestly thought I would hate it and it’d be stupid but I am so in love with it. Let it go is my jam and I’m very slowly redecorating my room to have a subtle frozen theme. Also I’ve also kinda planned my entire Frozen themed wedding already. So theres that…
2. Gravity Falls
In my opinion this is the best cartoon Disney has made since Kim Possible. The jokes are smart and the characters are adorable and Mabel Pines is my spirit animal.
3. My Little Pony
Call me a brony or a pegasister or a dork or whatever, but this show is awesome. The songs are well written and extremely catchy, and the show is super pro-feminism. Yes, it’s one of my guilty pleasures, but I really appreciate this show for two reasons: 1) the characters are adorable and relatable and they really grow on you. 2) This is probably the greatest “educational” show on tv right now. This show teaches kids about real world things like common sense, and feelings, and caring about others, which is something I really think our generation needs to learn about. So…don’t knock it till you try it.
4. Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated
I recently discovered this show on Netflix and am currently in the process of binge watching all of the everything. At first I was angry because they changed the cartoon style (again) and it looks pretty ugly. This is the 11th reboot of Scooby Doo. And as someone who grew up watching the original show I was definitely skeptical, but this new “incarnation” has really done it justice. I was thrown off by the utter disregard for the time period -all of the teens had cell phones even though they’re dressed for the 70s- and the relationship drama between Shaggy and a hella thirsty Velma was uncalled for, but all of the references to the original show won me over. This is kind of a parody, but in a nostalgic way that I can appreciate.
I’m not putting a picture for this because quite frankly I have no idea what comes up when you Google image Hannibal and I have no intention of finding out. But basically this gruesome, grotesque, and totally awesome and age appropriate show is my one redeeming show on this list.
6. 2048 game
This game is ruining my life! I can’t help it I just keep going back to it. The object of the game is to combine two of the same numbers and keep doubling them until you reach 2048. It’s a lot harder than it sounds. The farthest I’ve gotten was 1024. It’s one of those things that you don’t want to play but its so frustrating that you have to get a high score just one time to show it who’s boss…like flappy bird.
7. Arts and crafts!
In case you couldnt tell by my last post, I’m really getting into painting and drawing again. It’s relaxing and frustrating at the same time, but it’s pretty rewarding. Although right now I’m only good at copying pictures. I cant just doodle something random or make up my own characters.
8. Tinkerbell movies
I love the tinkerbell movies. I saw The Pirate Fairy a few weeks ago and I freaking loved it. The animation is really underrated, the details are beautiful in all these movies. I’m not necessarily a Peter Pan fan, but I really like how these movies lead up to Peter Pan and kind of explain the magic.
I blame TheTipsyElephant. Tumblr is not a thing that I should be allowed on. I check it every five minutes and reblog the most random things.

10. Music that would scare my mother.
Yeah I have no idea what genre this is. But apparently I like 90s-esque grunge. Six years ago I would have cringed at the thought of listening to this kind of stuff but there’s just something so cathartic about listening to people angrily scream-sing when you’re angry.
Well, I guess that’s it. I am such a child.
Moral of the story: I am a grown woman who loves cartoons.
